Yesterday, the Greens weighed into the energy debate with their ideas on how to get those power bills down. While they're keen on zero-interest loans and expanding the Warmer Kiwi Homes programme ... they'll also set up the aptly named, KiwiPower, funded via the party's so-called "super-rich tax" to invest in renewable energy. It comes after National and Labour also vowed to lower barriers to solar and home electrification with their own energy policies. But is this all enough to convince our landlords to take the leap? Emile Donovan is joined on the show by Mike Casey, CEO of Rewiring Aotearoa, to break this issue down.

Dr Nick Smith, mayor of Nelson and ex-National Party minister, is an early adopter when it comes to electric machines but, through his efforts with the council and his close involvement with the Ratepayer Assistance Scheme, he's also embracing one of Rewiring's core mantras: once you've electrified your own life, electrify someone else's life, too.
