"Casey’s trying to engender a new style of patriotism, based on New Zealand-made energy, primarily electric, instead of foreign-made energy delivered by boat. “If the boat stops showing up one day because China invades Taiwan our entire economy is fucked, it doesn’t matter if we grow five times the food that we consume because we won’t be able to run the tractors to make it.”
