
Rewiring Aotearoa has announced its newest board member, Juliet Tainui-Hernandez (Ngāi Tahu, Te Whakatōhea). She joins chair Rob Hewett, Chris Wilson and Nikki Bloomfield on the board.
Tainui-Hernandez is a lawyer and director with 25 years of experience in multi-jurisdictional law firms, financial services, central banking, and iwi economic development. She has held senior executive and governance roles with the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Norton Rose Fulbright, Ngāi Tahu Holdings, Whai Rawa Fund Limited, and many other entities in Aotearoa and internationally.
She's a current board director at ASB Bank, which is also working to help accelerate New Zealand’s shift to renewable energy, including through initiatives and research around electrifying homes and farms.

Tainui-Hernandez has replaced Amanda Malu on the board.
