Electrify Whakatāne is a volunteer-run community group driven by locals for locals, making it easier for the people of Whakatāne to electrify their lives.

As part of Rewiring Aotearoa's national network of Electric Communities, our mission is simple: to help our neighbours save money, cut emissions, and build a more resilient community by making the switch to efficient electric appliances, vehicles, and adding solar and battery.

We aim to help households, marae, schools and businesses go electric, and to give the community a voice when working with Horizon, the council and Trust Horizon.
