A globally recognisable postcard destination from the electrified future. Well-positioned with both climate ambition and energy prices to be the first place to demonstrate accelerated climate action while saving millions on bills, improving resilience, and modernising the energy system.
Queenstown could lead the world on climate, relying less on expensive imported foreign oil and more on locally generated kiwi electricity. We can create more local jobs, lead the world on energy innovation, and access the lowest cost electricity invented by humanity: rooftop solar. All while building unprecedented community resilience to natural disasters.

Electrify Queenstown is a nationally significant, three-day event that brings together community, business, government, and industry to accelerate the transition to a low-emissions, electrified future.
Business owners and homeowners can hear from government decision makers, meet international innovators in electrification, get practical support from renewable energy experts, see behind the scenes at trailblazing local energy projects and score deals on the latest electrical products.
